I have created a generic inquiry that shows customer history.  The GI is from the GL Tran table and I have included an image below of the tables involved in the GI.  The GI works when installed into the side panel of another GI

I have tried two different ways to install it into the customization project for our Sales Orders.  One time as a Navigation Search Records so that it would come up as a choice under the three dot elipse, and one time as a Navigation Side Panel.   I have published the customization and recieved messages saying it was sucessfull.  I did not however choose to publish all customizations and dont know if that is a required step.  However, you will see in the screen below the status of my actions is new whilc previously published ones are inherited.

 Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don’t think you really stated your problem. If they haven’t showed up on the screen, try ‘Restart Application’ from the ‘Apply Updates’ screen.

This is normal. It just means you added them through the workflow editor config instead of via a code workflow.

My restart updates screen is blank.  Am I running any risk by clicking apply updates?  Could it affect other customizations?

You want to click ‘Restart Application’, which incidentally has nothing to do with updates. But it will take down your site for a minute or two, so obviously make sure no one is using it or at least not your boss 😁

Thanks Daryl, I will try it tonight

If for some reason when I restart the application its somehow messed up the sales order customization, does anyone have any link to how I would reload the one that I saved as a backup before I made the changes?

If you're talking about a customization that you saved and then changed, you'd need to import the original customization and publish that one instead. Unless the customization is critical, you can always unpublish and get back to uncustomized Acumatica.

Either way, the restart is not 'making' the changes. If restarting does anything, it's just making the changes visible.

Well I restarted the application and the actions still show as new and not inherited.  And the side panel does not appear.  So I would say that my customization was not applied

They will always show as 'New' regardless of whether they are active or not.
