Is it possible to have a flag in the import file, to change the Activation status on file import? Lets say I have a master spreadsheet of Employees (or users) and everytime before importing it I would select which ones are Active and which ones are not. In this case I wont need to manipulate the data on the Import scenario screen. Thanks.

This is possible and is something I do quite often, the implementation does not quite align with your question however I believe it will accomplish your goal.
STEP 1
Add a new column to your excel file “Active”
Values are 1 or 0 (0 for exclude)
STEP 2
Create an import scenario with SOURCE RESTRICTIONS of Active = 1
All rows with Active = 0 will be excluded from your import as requested.

+4Functionality to change the activation status on the import does not exist at this time. You will need to look into customization in order to accommodate this. As a workaround, if you are only wanting to update information for active employees, I would suggest setting up a target restriction in the import scenario for active employees.
