Is it possible to have a flag in the import file, to change the Activation status on file import? Lets say I have a master spreadsheet of Employees (or users) and everytime before importing it I would select which ones are Active and which ones are not. In this case I wont need to manipulate the data on the Import scenario screen. Thanks.

@dpruckus  I don’t think that is possible. We need to choose/select the records in the Import Scenarios screen to be processed.

Functionality to change the activation status on the import does not exist at this time.  You will need to look into customization in order to accommodate this.  As a workaround, if you are only wanting to update information for active employees, I would suggest setting up a target restriction in the import scenario for active employees.

This is possible and is something I do quite often, the implementation does not quite align with your question however I believe it will accomplish your goal.

STEP 1

Add a new column to your excel file “Active”

Values are 1 or 0 (0 for exclude)

STEP 2

Create an import scenario with SOURCE RESTRICTIONS of Active = 1

All rows with Active = 0 will be excluded from your import as requested.
