Hello all,

I have an import scenario to create SOs from quotes and there are scenarios where the same item might exist in the quote before converting to an SO. Now upon running the import, since Acumatica would find duplicate values (Item IDs), it stops the routine. Any ideas how can I allow the routine to import the duplicate Item IDs in the single order?

Kindly suggest.

@Harry The import scenario uses <Key: OrderType> and <Key: OrderNbr> as the document keys, but for the line level there is no explicit line key defined. Acumatica defaults to using InventoryID as the line identifier, so when the same item appears twice, it thinks it is the same line.

Fix: Add a key field for the line using the quote line number to uniquely identify each line:

<Key: LineNbr> (Transactions.LineNbr)

Place this key before the InventoryID field in the line section. This tells Acumatica to match lines by line number, not by item,  so duplicate items are treated as separate lines.

Hope this helps!

@Harry  Can you please share the XML format of import scenario here, so that I will review from my side and will get back to you.

@Harry The key is not to use Inventory ID as the identifying/key field for the Sales Order detail line when the same item can appear more than once.

Check if line nbr can be executed here.

@Harry Please modify the Source Field or Value column from your uploaded spreadsheet and verify this in the Import by Scenario screen.

Hi @Naveen Boga ,

Thanks for sharing, however the error still triggers. Since I’ve been trying to also add the quote# under relations tab, it is triggering the issue.

@Harry I’m not sure which values you modified. First, could you please confirm whether you have verified this using the Import Scenario that I shared above?
