Should the statement balance be a negative for a credit card reconciliation statement?

On the reconciliation statement CA302000 for a credit card statement, should the Statement Balance field be a negative as the credit card is a liability and the GL balance is a credit?  My client is starting a reconciliation, and I wanted to verify that the balance should be -100,000.00 for the reconciliation.
