Can this be the reason why the financial period cannot be closed. There is a material batch that is balanced.
Yes! The balanced batch shown is definitely a suspect and I think is likely prohibiting you from closing IN. Please do release the materials batch and try again to close Inventory.

In the inventory module, please go to the close financial period screen.(IN509000)
When you select the check box for the relevant period, if there are any unreleased documents, the system shows them relating to that period here.
