Is it possible to Block creating and editing transactions of cash accounts (bank accounts) once the reconciliation is done?

Currently users can post transactions into reconciled months.

Your insights are highly appreciated. Thanks in advance…

Hello, @chameera71 ,

To prohibit posting to prior months by most users, in General Ledger Preferences, Check ON the option to Restrict Access to Closed Periods.

Assign the Financial Supervisor Role to very few users such as CFO, Accounting manager, so that most users will see a Red Error when they try to post any transaction, including Cash Transactions, to a Closed Period.

Verify that each Period is being Closed in Manage Financial Periods Process, on a timely basis every month.

If you still have a problem with Financial Supervisors posting cash transactions to closed/reconciled periods, then consider LOCKING closed periods in Manage Financial Periods screen. No one may post transactions to a Locked period, including Financial Supervisors.
