Does Acumatica support using a manual card reader through Authorize.net or is using a third party app like Repay or EBizCharge required?

Hi @tschneider40

Are you talking about a point of sale card reader? Can you give more details on what exactly you are looking for?

Yes, we don’t currently use a POS system but would like to be able to use a card reader for the few walk in customers that we get.

Most of the credit card payments we take are typed in on the payment form since the the card typically isn’t present, however we have 5-10 walk in customers per day and we would like to be able to swipe their card instead of having to type in the card number.

Authorize.net has a virtual terminal that can be used with their card reader but it has to be run in a separate browser window, we’re looking for an option that would use the Acumatica payment screen

Hi @tschneider40

You could use a manual card reader.

Authorize.net has this article in their support that may start to assist you, not sure if this will help:

There is also an idea in the Community that you could vote for to handle credit card payments on the go, this may be along the lines of what you are looking for as well.
