It seems no matter where we add information either in the description field or the Other tab it is limited and we run out of room for explanation and it does not all print on the invoice form.  We often have several appointments with lots of details that we bill on one invoice, but the wording on the invoice gets cut off.  Does anyone know how to get unlimited characters in the description field and other tab and get them to print on the invoice?

The Description field has a character limit. It can be extended through customization, but it will never be unlimited. The Other tab and, as an alternative, document notes are unlimited, so you can store long text there without it being truncated.

The other side of this issue is the Invoice printing form itself. You can populate notes from the Service Order to the Invoice through the setting on the Service Order Types screen, or join the Service Order and pull the text stored in the Other tab. The problem with both is displaying it on the Invoice. From my experience, the form follows the CanGrow setting poorly and prints only what fits into the allowed area, so it won't be perfect: it will either truncate the text if the area is too small, or leave a lot of blank space. A potential solution is to add it as an addition to the invoice, not on the main Invoice or Line, but as an extra page after it in the same PDF.
