Labour rounding Issue

We are experiencing an issue where we want to round the labour actual hours to the nearest 30 minute interval, however our options are to either change the actual time or change the extended price. If we change the extended price, then the unit price will show on the invoice as something other than our flat unit price rate. For example: a 22 minute job that we want to bill out an hour for…. if we change the extended price to 110 (which is our hourly rate) on the invoice the unit price shows as $200 and change.

 

Ultimately we want to capture the actual hours worked by technicians, but invoice to a minimum of 1 hour, or the nearest 30 minute interval.

If you are using projects, you can set this in your billing rule to do this when it calculates the quantity.

Just set a calculation in the quantity like =Max([PMTran.BillableQty],1)

 

Service orders has a flat rate function but it will rely on you entering an actual quantity of 1 and you can have your actual duration with 22 minutes but no rules you can apply for that.
