Acumatica Web Application & Signature Capture

The signature gets attached as an image in the Files section of the appointment/service order.  I’m just thinking out loud here, but I know that files can be attached via API, and you can add a link on the forms to pop you out to external applications (we do that with shipment tracking--just a GI that shows in a side panel that pops out to the shipper web page with the tracker number baked in).  In theory, you could pop out to an external signature capture web page and either have that app save the signature image with the service order number embedded in the name (so that you could then have a link that takes you to the signature for future review) or you could get really fancy and have that third party application send the file back via API.

That said, we’ve found that our mobile techs wind up working from two devices.  They use the mobile app on their phone for marking Depart, Arrive, Start, and Complete on an appointment (and in the future we plan to have them do signature capture on it as well), but they pull out their tablet using the web interface to update details, such as add stock and nonstock items that were used for the appointment or creating notes.
