Declared Value on Backorders

We often create backorders since we try to ship out whatever we can as soon as we can. Our shipping software, V-Technologies StarShip, pulls the Declared Value from the CuryOrderTotal field. The problem is that since we’re not shipping the entire order, the declared value is too much. And its the same situation when we send out the backordered items since it still pulls from CuryOrderTotal. This causes the declared value, and therefore, the shipping insurance to be higher than it should be. Has anyone else run into this and how do you solve it? At the very least we’d like to be able to notify our shipping team what the correct declared value should be on the backorder so they can change it in StarShip. I tried to do some calculations in the Pick List form to display it but it never worked consistently.

Hi

You could use the following field on the Sales Order this will be the values of what is to be still shipped

That looks like an excellent suggestion but StarShip doesn’t have access to that field. I’ll have to get in touch with them and work it that way. Thanks for the help. I’ll advise if StarShip has a solution.
