We're testing Workgroup-based approval routing (Company Tree, EP204061) as the Approver on an Approval Map (EP205015) so any member of a group can approve when the primary approver is unavailable. This works as expected in 2025 R1. We're migrating to 2026 R1 in ~3 months and want to confirm: has the Workgroup-as-Approver mechanic, or general Company Tree behavior, changed at all in 2026 R1? We're aware 2026 R1 adds new approval workflow support for Inventory Adjustments specifically - just want to confirm nothing changed for existing AP/PO/Expense approval maps already using Workgroups.
Is there any recommended best-practice approach than this work group or org-chart approach?
