Hi @ranjithduraisamy72,

Short answer: No — Acumatica does not store a historical table of Average Cost values for a stock item.

Here’s how it works instead:

  • With the Average valuation method, the system does not keep a history of each unit’s cost. It only maintains a single running average cost for the item.
  • Every time a document is released (receipt, issue, adjustment, transfer, kit assembly/disassembly), the system recalculates the average cost and updates the current value.

What you can view:

  • Inventory Transaction History (IN405000)
    • Shows released documents by date
    • Shows the unit cost used in each transaction
    • This is the closest thing to a cost history.

So in practice:

  • Current Average Cost = stored on the item
  • Historical cost values = visible through transaction history, not a dedicated average-cost history table.

Hi @ranjithduraisamy72 ,

Depending on your requirements, the DAC INItemCostHist may also be useful. It stores historical stock item cost data grouped by financial period.  If.a period had zero inventory transactions for a stock item there will not be a record.  You can include the table INItemCostHistByPeriod to pick up these missing periods.

Hope this helps!
