Hi Acumatica community,

Does anyone know how to adjust the file that is created when you click “print shipping labels” (from the easy post integration) so the size of the label works for a label printer? We use the zebra printers where the labels print directly to a sticker so we need to remove the extra white space on the page or have the page size adjusted to reflect the 4”x6” label size.

Our workaround is to print the labels one by one, but it seems unnecessarily time consuming.

Thanks for any advice or ideas!

Hi @jfarrell

Try this:

The real fix is to stop generating PDF and switch the label format to a thermal format (ZPL) — which is native to Zebra printers and prints at exact label size with no page/whitespace concept at all.

  1. Check the EasyPost carrier's label format settingGo to Carriers (CS207700) and open your EasyPost carrier record. The EasyPost plug-in exposes label format/size as configurable parameters — look for a Label Format (or similar) parameter and switch it from PDF to ZPL. This is the setting that controls whether EasyPost hands back a page-based PDF or a native thermal file.

  2. Confirm ship-via codes are using that carrierOn Ship via Codes (CS207500), verify the ship-via codes tied to this carrier are the ones your team actually selects when confirming shipments, so the format change applies to the labels you're printing.

  3. Set up thermal printing per Acumatica's guideFollow Acumatica's official topic “To Set Up the Printing of Carrier Labels on a Thermal Printer.” This walks through either DeviceHub (recommended if you want labels to print automatically on shipment confirmation with zero clicks) or a shared-printer + .zpl file association setup for a directly connected Zebra.

  4. If using the BAT-file method instead of DeviceHubSome users found the printer needs to be explicitly shared (even when it's USB-connected to the same PC), and the batch file needs to reference the correct port (e.g. LPT2) rather than the USB port name. This tripped up several people with the exact same EasyPost + Zebra setup.

  5. Test with a single shipment before rolling outConfirm one shipment and click Print Labels. With ZPL format and either DeviceHub or the BAT association working, the label should print directly at 4x6 with no extra page or whitespace — and no per-label manual step.
