Can we import the historical sales order into the system and Without creating Shipment and Invoice.

The customer wants to import the last five years of sales data.

@lairdtim As you suggested, we initially tried importing invoices using Migration Mode. However, we found that this approach doesn't meet the customer's requirements because those invoices cannot be used when creating customer returns with out inventory posting.

As an alternative, we decided to import the Sales Orders directly and mark them as Completed. This allows users to create a return order by copying the original sales order and simply selecting the appropriate return order type.

The only issue we encountered is that the Complete Order action is not available when a sales order is in Open status. After updating the Action Visibility to make the Complete Order action available for Open orders, the process worked exactly as expected.

Is your goal sales history?  Most sales history is done via ARTran reporting (invoices).  You can load ARTran data with AR in Migration Mode; it’s what we did to load sales history going back to 2018 for our Go-Live.
