is there a way to have authorized items for certain customers meaning certain customers can only order these items how about restricting unit of measure etc..

We limit certain SKUs to one customer. The sales rep assigned to the customer is the only salesperson that can see the resticted SKUs. I do not think it is hard to set up. No customization.

No, there is no way (yet) to restrict Customers and Inventory Items.
