Yes, if you set the sort order for the GI in the Sort Order tab in SM208000 screen it will be default sorting order of the results. For more information on it kindly refer,

Thank you for writing back to me. The sort order is stored in the GISort table. I am alluding to the order of columns and not the order of data in the grid. Where is that customization stored?
Acumatica lets me change the order of columns using drag and drop on the results grid.
I couldn’t locate that information.
