Hi everyone,

as fas as I understood there is no need to use Visual Studio to implement a customization.

However, to extend the featureset the following guide tells me that Visual Studio should be used.

Is it possible to add a featureset without Visual Studio?

@BEXJens that is correct.

How can the feature be added to the license?

First you’ll need an active ADN contract with Acumatica. Then, you’ll need to provide a justification for adding a feature and get an approval.

@BEXJens please note that extending features set requires the feature to be added in the license as well.

If the feature is not in the license, it’ll not work in production environment.

As for the embedding a resource in a DLL without Visual Studio, it can be done, but I think it may be easier to just use visual studio for that, rather then using some obscure dll editing software for that.

@Dmitrii Naumov So it’s not possible to add or configure the Features.xml in the Customization Project Editor? Instead it is necessary to build an extension library? Is that correct?

How can the feature be added to the license?
