Item requirements for Projects

We had a customization made to handle Item requirements in Projects. We transfer the product from our Stock warehouse to the truck our team uses. Then, when relieving the material to the Project, we want it to come off the truck, but instead it defaults to the Stock warehouse. This results in sometimes 50 lines that need to be individually altered, thus our need for a customization. Any recommendations for a better process - ideally, someone who transfers inventory to a different location before it is relieved to a project?

Hi @mpanella ,

Can you try below-

This is a point in Acumatica's Projects module when using intermediate staging locations (like a truck). below are several approaches
1. Set the Default Warehouse at the Project Level
On the Project screen (PM301000), each project has a Default Warehouse field. If you set this to your Truck warehouse, material issue transactions generated from that project should default to the Truck rather than the site-level default. Verify this is populated on your active projects.
2. Use Project-Specific Item Defaults
On the Project Budget or via Project/Task defaults, you can associate a specific warehouse/location per item-task combination. This gives you line-level control without customization.
3. Change the Default Site on the Inventory Item
If certain items are always relieved from the Truck for project work, consider changing the Default Site on those items (or using an Item Class that defaults to the Truck warehouse). This is blunt but effective if the items are project-dedicated.

Hope above helps!!
