Upgrade server CPU, reinstall license

Hello,

We are planning to upgrade our server’s hardware in the coming days.

Per my previous experience, this would cause the “installation ID” change.
Then if I have to apply the license, I have to firstly deactivate the previous deployment on the old installation ID.

But, right now, I can not find the deactivate button in customer portal.
Is it not necessary anymore, or I have to go to a right place?

Hi @ray20

You are correct, delete the license from the old environment to unlink the installation ID.

When ready, apply the license to the new instance and that should do it.

About the access to the license might be related to access rights on portal, reach out to your account administrator for it.

Hi @ray20

If you open the license, the option to deactivate instance should be on ‘Environment’ tab.

Regards,

@vkumar
Hello,  but I can NOT open the license.
The license seems clickable, but if I click it, it would navigate to
https://sso.acumatica.com/(W(4))/Main?ScreenId=00000000

Looks like I don’t have access right?

If I can not deactivate it in customer portal, will there another work around?
Like I delete the license on the instance before I upgrade the server
And then I re-enter the license.
Would it work?

We would probably upgrade the serve in midnight, which means I have to know every aspect before move.
