We have a customer in the medical manufacturing field. They need to transfer approximately 12 years of transactional data to Acumatica from a legacy system. We know this is not the norm - but being in the medical industry they need to be able to track any medical equipment manufactured by lot number sold to their customers. Backward and forward tracking.
What would be the best approach to import this data? Anyone with similar requirements?
You would need to look at what type of data they want to hold. If it is item/lot number/sale date type of data then I would consider building a new table and storing it in there. You can then use it in Generic Inquiries etc. and it does not mean you have to create all the items/customers/lots in Acumatica for items/customers you are no longer selling to.
