Email stuck in 'Processing' status

Hello!

I have two e-mails stuck in ‘processing’ status that I cannot cancel and re-try even. But emails before and after to those two have been sent successfully.

Any idea on how to resolve this?

Thank You!

@apallawala22 I’ve personally never seen a “processing” status, but you may be able to force them out using the Emails Pending Processing (SM507000) screen.

@apallawala22

  • Check the mail provider’s message trace first to confirm whether the messages were actually delivered before retrying.
  • Have an administrator review System Monitor for a stuck email operation and check the application trace around the original sending time.
  • If no operation is running but the messages remain locked in Processing, raise an Acumatica support case to recover their status. Include the email IDs, timestamps, sending account, and Acumatica build

@apallawala22 Hi can you pls try below suggestions

  1. Check the email details first. Open the stuck email from System Management > Email > Email Activities (or the Activities screen in the module you’re in) and look at the Failed/Error message and the attachments. A very large attachment, a malformed recipient address, or a bad template field is a frequent cause for one-off failures.
  2. Use Cancel Processing / Resend. On the Email Activities screen, select the stuck rows and try the Cancel Processing action, then Resend (or “Send”). If the buttons are disabled for those rows, that confirms the record is in a locked state and you’ll need to move to the next steps.
  3. Check the Email Processing / Send Queue. Go to System Management > Email > Email Activities and filter by Status = Processing. Also check the Email Accounts screen (SM204002) and confirm the account’s “Send Email” option is enabled and that there’s no leftover lock from a prior session.
