Running into an issue where a shopify order is stuck in the sync due to the following error:

Contact.DisplayName: 'Contact' cannot be empty. Contact.LastName: 'Last Name' cannot be empty. Inserting 'Contact' record raised at least one error. Please review the errors.

Checked the shopify order and there exists contact names for billing and shipping.  What else could be causing this?

@nshah90 , seems like the customer on this order is a company, not an individual. You would need to check all contacts of this customer in Shopify and in Acumatica, to make sure all first and last names are there. The error might be coming from customer sync, not the order sync itself.

Thank you @Yuri Karpenko for this information.  This company has probably 50 customers so I need to check each customer setup in Shopify?

the order in shopify should specify which ‘contact’ it is trying to import no?  whoever the buyer was for that location.

@kkeating24 , as part of the order import, the connector will try to update the whole customer / company record. So if there is an issue with one of the customers (1 of 50), it will throw an error.

@nshah90 , yes, you have to check all of them. I just went though that exercise a couple weeks ago with one of my merchants. No fun.

Thanks @Yuri Karpenko and @kkeating24 .

I checked and all customer have contact names.  Is there a specific place I should be checking inside Shopify?

@nshah90 In Shopify, you have a company, and that company has many customers added to each location. You will need to check each customer that is associated with this company locations.

Thank you.  I checked and everything looks good in the Shopify side.  I created a case with Acumatica support.

@mohammadnawaz51 @Chris Hackett

Yes, our issue was one of the previous orders (almost always the order prior to the order that gave us the sync error) was missing a first and last name.  The customer only had an email.  Once we added the first and last name to the customer then the order synced in without any issues.

This mainly applies when there is companies with multiple customers placing orders.  Happy to help offline if you like.

Thanks,

Nirav S.
