Does anyone know if it is possible to sync related items under a product in Acumatica to a single, list-type metafield?

Example:

  1. Product A has Products B and C selected as Related items in Acumatica.
  2. Product B and Product C are synced together to a single list metafield as “Product B, Product C” (or something along those lines).
  3. Later, Product C is removed as a related item in Acumatica and replaced by Product D.
  4. Now, Product B and Product D are synced together to the single list metafield.

Hi @mikeho unfortunately the standard Shopify Connector does no sync related items. It is also not possible to convert an array of items to a single metafield using mapping.

So the only way I can suggest you is a relatively small customization to select related Items from Acumatica database, concatenate them and push to Shopify metafield.

Hi @smarenich Can you point me how to do that? Which part of the guide?

Any updates on this feature?

@dgodsill97 we ended up solving for this with a customization that concatenated the External IDs (essentially, the Product IDs of the items in Shopify) of the related items into a JSON string in a custom field, and then mapped that to a product list metafield in Shopify.

I doubt anything like this will become a native feature in Acumatica, for what it’s worth.

Thanks, already got a quote from our development staff.  Apparently Big Commerce handled this.
