Exciting News: BigCommerce Integration Coming to Acumatica 2025 R1 and Newer!

Acumatica is thrilled to announce that the BigCommerce integration will soon be available for Acumatica versions 2025 R1 and newer launching in early 2026!

This new integration allows Acumatica customers to seamlessly connect their BigCommerce storefront with Acumatica’s ERP platform. This means more automation, faster order processing, and real-time inventory and customer data sync between your ecommerce operations and your back-office workflows.

What does this mean for you?

A note on payments

Acumatica Payments is still the recommended option for the most streamlined, end-to-end payment experience. However, for customers who choose to use BigCommerce for their ecommerce storefront and checkout, this integration ensures everything syncs cleanly back into Acumatica while supporting your existing workflow preferences.

  1. Will the new integration improve the B2B features such as adding company accounts instead of individual accounts? 
  1. Will the new intergration allow Big Commerce to be configured so we can select which warehouse a business can see and shop from?

This is a tad confusing - Acumatica has had native integration with BigCommerce via the commerce connector for 5+ years. Is there a new method of integration or something unique being announced here? 

 

or is this just announcing the launch of Acumatica Payments as a supported payment gateway for BigCommerce?

To clarify a few things:

B2B functionality & storefront rules
The upcoming BigCommerce integration focuses on improving the stability, performance, and data-sync experience between BigCommerce and Acumatica. Features such as company accounts, buyer roles, and storefront permissions (including warehouse or catalog visibility) continue to follow BigCommerce’s native B2B Edition capabilities. The connector will sync the related data, but it doesn’t modify the storefront behavior itself.
The product suggestion around expanded B2B controls is appreciated and we’ll make sure it’s noted for the teams reviewing future enhancements.

“Isn’t this already integrated?”
Yes - Acumatica has supported BigCommerce through the Commerce Connector for many years, and that remains in place for existing versions.
What this announcement refers to is the updated, modernized payments integration that will be available starting with 2025 R1 and newer releases. It leverages updated APIs and an improved architecture to support a more reliable and scalable sync experience going forward.

And just to avoid confusion - this announcement is not related to Acumatica Payments being used as a gateway inside BigCommerce, though Acumatica Pay continues to offer the most seamless payment experience within Acumatica itself.

For users on 2025 R1 with an existing BigCommece integration, how will these new features be rolled out? Is there are process for merchants to elect to onboard these new features, will they happen automatically, are there known configuration changes that may be required?
