Changing_ID of a Stock Item in Acumatica creates issues with Shopify

Hello,

Has anyone had issues with the Shopify Connector after Change_ID of a Stock Item in Acumatica?

Even if the ERP_Id and the External_Id matches, the POS orders from Shopify generate an error that the item is not found in the ERP.

@dabarca , after changing the ID (which is really a SKU in Acumatica), you need to do one of two things (or both):

  1. Add a cross-reference for the item in Acumatica, where you add the old SKU as a Global alternative ID.
  2. Resync this product with Shopify, so Shopify (and Shopify POS) has a new SKU.

As Kurt mentioned above, if the order was placed in Shopify / Shopify POS with the old SKU, step 1 above (alternative ID) will take care of the import.

Was the order on Shopify created before the change? If yes, it won’t sync. You need to create the order in Acumatica, and then manually sync the two (by clicking edit in the sync history page).

If you changed the ID in Acumatica, does the Shopify ‘sku’ match this ID?  Or at least is it in the cross reference?   Otherwise the connector will not find it.
