Availability Adjustment for Stock Items - eCommerce

Does anybody know if the Availability Adjustment field works? Is there any additional setup other than changing this field? 

I’m still testing, but upon initial update it didn’t work. See screenshots.

I set it to -5 expected that if I have 40 quantity available, the commerce site will display 35 because of the -5 adjustment I have as the availability adjustment. It’s still showing 40 qty.

Does anybody know if the Availability Adjustment field works?

The availability adjustment applies the variation entered to the exported availability in external system.

Is there any additional setup other than changing this field? 

Once you enter the value, then the variation is applied when the respective product availability is exported.

Could you please add some more information? For example, the version you are using, what connector, if you have any customization published.

@sean21 , updating this field on the Stock Items screen will not trigger the Product Availability update - that could be the missing link. Try to manually sync this item’s Product Availability entity.

@Yuri Karpenko ​@gabrielpaz86 thanks for your input. We followed the same steps and were successful in a local instance. There are a few customizations to the main environment. We are in the process of pulling down customizations to determine which may be causing the issue. 

For reference it’s version build 24.114.0020.

We are in the process of upgrading to 2024 R2 and use Shopify. I am also unable to get this Availability Adjustment to work. 

Did anyone find anything out about this? Is there additional set up required?

And is this supposed to work with a stock item that is also a matrix item? 

We utilize the variants in Shopify.

@bclark we were informed from support that this is a known issue when there are more than one warehouses/locations specified on the Shopify store (BC201010) form and that the bugfix is planned for 2025R2 Preview 1 release. 

The workarounds provided were: 

  1. Switch the settings to 'All Warehouses' mode on Inventory tab of Shopify Stores (BC201010) form
  2. Leave only one Shopify location in the WAREHOUSE MAPPING FOR INVENTORY EXPORT table. 

In our case, the client was okay with configuring the inventory settings from specific warehouse to all warehouses.

I am not sure about matrix items.
