When exporting the PO print format to PDF, the text displayed in the "Khmer OS Content" font does not appear correctly and differs from the Print Preview. However, when using the Print option and saving the document as a PDF, the font is displayed correctly in the downloaded PDF.

Any reason why this happens ?

@chameera71 Enable font embedding and export again.
Open the report’s Mailing & Printing tab—or Print and Email Settings, depending on your version—and select Embed Fonts in PDF File. Run the report again and export a fresh PDF.

Hi @chameera71,
Did you get a chance to go through the below threads?

Hope, it helps!

@chameera71 Print and Export to PDF go through two different engines, and that's the difference you're seeing.

The normal report preview and the Print button render HTML. Your browser lays out the Khmer text with the font on your own PC, and browsers handle Khmer properly, so Print and then Save as PDF comes out right.

Export to PDF is built on the server by Acumatica's own PDF writer. It maps each character to one glyph, in the order the text was typed. Khmer needs a shaping step on top of that: a vowel like ែ moves in front of its consonant, and a consonant after ្ turns into its subscript form. The PDF writer skips that step, so the export shows the vowel after the consonant, and the subscript as a full-size letter with a small + under the letter before it.

The Embed Fonts in PDF File setting Manikanta mentioned is worth keeping on, since it puts the font inside the file. It won't fix this one, though. I ran the 2026 R1 PDF writer with a Khmer font installed, once embedded and once not, and both wrote the same glyphs in the same order. The first thread Dipak linked (Export to PDF not working properly) is a Khmer export problem from 2023. lightman installed the font on his server and turned embedding on and off, and neither helped.

Reports emailed in PDF format go through the same writer, so a PO emailed to a vendor will have the same problem. For now, Print and Save as PDF is the way to get a correct file. I'd also open a support case so Acumatica logs it.
