User Defined Fields as Report Additional Filtering Condition

I’m trying to add a User Defined Field to the Additional Filtering Conditions table.  I’ve followed the guidelines in this post: 

It is still not showing up as an option in the table.  Any thoughts?

I reviewed this link and found comments indicating that additional filtering conditions in the report using user-defined fields (UDF) are not working.

However, I found another link that provides guidance on how to add UDFs for filtering conditions.
