A client wants to print a message on continued pages of a form but not the first page. They want the message to say something along the lines of.
For Page 2: This is a continuation from page 1
For Page 2: This is a continuation from page 2
I can get the group to print on each page but I am struggling to get a calculation of the prior page number in a group that is not the page header.
The [PageIndex] is not correct outside of the Page Header & footer sections.
I have tried setting a variable in various groups to no avail.
Is there a way to accomplish this?

Hi
In order for the [PageIndex] global to calculate, I believe that the ProcessOrder property on the section needs to be set to Always. This is the default for the pageHeadt and pageFooter, and you can change as needed on other sections of the report.

hi, is it possible to do a visible expression on the page index in a header group or is it being calculated at runtime after the section? if we add =[PageIndex]>1 to a visibleexpr we can’t get the section to show at all, even on pages 2+

I’m not sure about the visibility expression (would need to test), but for a page header you can use the PrintOnFirstPage expression to control this behavior.

hi laura, thanks for that, the issue we have is trying to filter a group header out by page number, page number just doesn’t seem to be able do any calc’s on it
