Report Designer Parameter Where Clause

In report designer, is there a way to have a where clause of sorts on a parameter that is searchable?

We have a report that sales reps run for their customer by selecting their customer as the parameter. I would like to limit the searchable parameter to only show them their customers instead of every customer.

Hi @trieger ,

The parameter dialog box in the Report Designer is defined based on the schema of a DAC.

You can find example of some different views for selecting a customer id in the standard reports.  Here is one from AR651000, the Customer Profile:

=Report.GetFieldSchema('CustomerReportParameters.CustomerID')

If you have configured Row Level Security and Customer Access for the sales reps, then the lookup based on the DAC field will respect those rights and show only those customers that sales reps has the rights to see.

More info on Report Designer parameters and how to configure is available here:

Hope this helps!

Thank you, I will look into what we have setup for row level security and customer access.
