Report Designer detail section 1 border issue

I have two reports that we use in our Acumatica  AR610000 and SO643000.   Both reports are invoices.   Both reports have the inventory item quantity, price etc in detail section1.   The reports also have detail section 2 with line item note and the SO report has detail section 3 with a product attribute.   

With a goal of having the body of the invoice more readable, I enabled borders in detailsection 1 in both reports.  However, regardless of the the settings being identical, the AR report shows the borders in the report around each item and the SO report does not populate the borders.  I am stumped.  Here is an image of the control box from the AR report

Have you checked to see if SO643000 Report Designer creates a Line like the screenshot below?

Have you checked to see if SO643000 Report Designer creates a Line like the screenshot below?

    Thanks for your suggestion.  I created a 2px space above the data and put a 1px line there.  I cannot do below because the info in detail section 2 and detail section 3 needs to be grouped with the info in detail section 1. And I cannot put it at the bottom of detail section 3 because visbility is conditional.  Anyway, the line is not visble on my invoice.

    I would say that your idea did work. It seemed to take a bit of time but I now have a dotted line above each item
