Hi All

I’m trying to figure out how to modify the SO643000 (Invoice / Memo) report template to immediately show ‘Copy’ after the first invoice has been printed. Currently, I have a field that says ‘Invoice Reprint’ with a visible expression of =[ARInvoice.DocDate]<>Today()

This works well for next day and after reprints. But now it’s needed for same day reprints.

Not too sure on how to proceed with it.

Thanks in advance.

Amit

@asingh There is a field in the invoice which gets flagged once the invoice is printed, but it might depend on how the original is printed. There is a blog post which describes the process which may work in this instance:

Hi @BenjaminCrisman thanks for responding. This is exactly what I was looking for. However, I should’ve also mentioned I’m still a beginner in modifying reports.

While I do have the audit set up already in my instance, I’m unsure of how to proceed with combined keys as well as the joins. Not sure where the ‘WhenPrinted’ in the child field is from.

Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Amit

@asingh I noticed the post was marked solved but I had left for the weekend before I got your update. Did you manage to resolve the email issue?

Hi @BenjaminCrisman thanks for responding. While the article had exactly what I was looking for, it was a bit confusing as how to make the modifications on the report template. While I do understand the concepts that were outlined, I’m not sure as to how to create a combined key as well as where the ‘WhenPrinted.CombinedKey’ (shown in screenshot attached) came from in the child field. If there is any documentation or articles on this, I’m willing to learn.

While the article does provide the solution that I’m looking for, the implementation is out of my skillset.

Thanks

Amit

Hey Chris

Urfortunately, I did not. While I did understand the logic behind the report design, my knowledge was lacking for the execution.

Thanks

Amit
