Hello Acumatica Support Team,
We are encountering an issue with inventory label printing misalignment when using DeviceHub to send print jobs to Zebra thermal printers. The labels are triggered from Acumatica during the inventory receiving process and are based on custom reports designed in Acumatica Report Designer.
Label Specifications:
We have created three custom reports with the following label sizes and formatting:
-
Large Label: 3.00” x 4.00”
-
Medium Label: 1.25” x 2.75”
-
Small Label: 1.00” x 1.50”
All layouts include spacing of 1/16” from the top and 1/8” from the bottom, with no left or right margins, to match our physical label stock and printing requirements.
Issue Description:
-
When previewed as PDF within Acumatica, the labels render correctly and align perfectly with the defined dimensions.
-
However, when printed via DeviceHub to Zebra printers:
-
The output is vertically misaligned (e.g., content printing too high or too low)
-
There is noticeable deviation from expected alignment compared to identical labels printed from our legacy Macola system
-
Labels appear shifted or clipped, despite identical media, printer, and ribbon settings
-
Printer and Environment Details:
-
Printer Model: Zebra ZT230
-
Media: Thermal label rolls matching the sizes above
-
Trigger Method: Labels print automatically during PO receiving (via scan)
Troubleshooting Performed:
-
Verified report dimensions and layout match label specs
-
Confirmed detail section height and panel height account for top/bottom spacing
-
Ensured padding and margins are configured as specified
-
Printed multiple test PDFs (alignment is correct in preview)
-
Calibrated printers and verified ribbon/media settings
-
Issue only occurs when printed via DeviceHub.
Request for Support:
We suspect the issue may stem from:
-
A DeviceHub configuration mismatch or
-
A printer command conflict introduced during the print job transmission
-
A report configuration issue.
We would appreciate your assistance in identifying whether additional DeviceHub settings, custom paper size handling, report settings or known limitations with Zebra printer compatibility could be causing the discrepancy.
Please let us know if logs, configuration files, or sample output would help in diagnosing this further.
Thank you for your support!
