How to join two GIs on a Formula column?

Hi everyone,

I have 3 Generic Inquiries:

  • GI A with a Division column that's a formula,
  • GI B which also has a Division column as a formula.

I'd like to create GI C by joining GI A and GI B on Division. However, Acumatica throws an "invalid" error.

Any ideas on how to work around this? Thanks.

Hi @hieutran ,

Please attach the GIs so we can take a look.

Thanks! I've figured out that we can handle this case by directly referencing Acumatica's formula names—for example, joining PMProject_Formula416d30d... with Sub_Formula6bf6abc25....

@hieutran We’d likely need to see the GIs but the error isn’t really clear from what you’re describing. If you can provide screenshots of the functions and the error at least, or the GIs, we could help. Maybe you need a function to convert the end values to INT?

Hi @hieutran

I've tried something similar in the past and concluded that the system doesn't allow fields with formulas to be used for joining GIs. To me, this looks like exactly that case.
