How can I have the results of one widget update another widget on the same dashboard

​@lewisad As Megan pointed out there is not this ability to link widgets like this, but you’ll need to use the dashboard parameter and then on the widget preferences specify that you want it to follow this parameter.

Hi, I loaded the sales demo environment but did not see the particular dashboard. Is there a particular user I need to login as? I used the admin log-in.

It looks like to need to enable features.

You might not have loaded the data correctly.

​@lewisad I’m not sure if the dashboard is hidden by access or not, but you can add parameters to any dashboard, you just need to have the Dashboard Designer role on your user. Just open the dashboard edit screen and then add the parameter there. Once you’ve added the parameter you can adjust the widget to filter based on the parameter value.

​@BenjaminCrisman Thanks for the reply. I’m familiar with the process you mentioned but I’m looking to be able to click on a row of data from grid view and have that selection affect another grid view. My scenario is, listing a summary of customers with outstanding invoices, highlighting that customer and have all their outstanding invoices listed in another grid view. Or do I need to create a pivot table and use a generic inquiry instead of a dashboard?
