Hi everyone, I've hit a strange issue with copying Generic Inquiries (GIs) on our production site (v2024.1).

The Issue: When copying certain GIs using the standard Copy/Paste from Template function, several table Aliases fail to paste through into the new GI's Tables tab. This results in the error: “a table with the alias [name of alias] cannot be found” because the fields in the Results/Conditions tabs lose their table reference.

What I've Ruled Out (or think I have): I recognize the common causes (Copy/Paste bug, Custom DAC synchronization, Site Map conflict). However, the critical and confusing finding is:

  • The issue occurs consistently in the Production Site where certain Alias names are in play, e.g. “WIP”, “DTC”, “TimeActivity” as example.

  • The exact same action, using the same GI on a Sandbox environment (same v2024.1, same customizations, only older data), works perfectly.

Request for Help: Since the environments are virtually identical in terms of code/version/customizations, the fact that it only fails in production suggests an environment-specific setting or a subtle conflict I can't pinpoint.

Has anyone encountered this specific behavior where the GI copy/paste functionality fails on aliases only in the production environment but works in the sandbox?

Any insights or potential solutions would be greatly appreciated
