Conditions in a GI

i am trying to add a filter in a GI,  Something is wrong with the filter related to the date.  It is returning 0 records.  If i remove the date filter it returns all records just fine.    What i really want it to do is to filter by current year.  Something related to the syntax in the date value?

Darylbowman   Thank you VERY MUCH!!!!,   i could see the tree for the forest..   Ughh, wasnt a syntax issue.
