Hello,

I’ve gone through so many readings and videos and i still do not understand how relations work and how to see which parent childen to use.

Example: when i enable INSite, it breaks all of my SO objects. and vise versa. I get get them to show on their own, but never together.

Which relations would i use to get SO to talk to SO and print the warehouse its assigned to?

Is there a resource that’ll explain relations and how they work together? I’ve used the Merged DAC Relations page and the inspect elements to match them up. This worked to get the SOOrder to stop duplicating..but i cannot figure out this INSite portion..The DAC relations are pages and pages long with no explinations

Hi @kdolgner Each table you add after the first one must be joined to an already added table. So you need to join SOOrder to INSite.

If you go to Data Sources tab and click on the SOOrder table (it’s hyperlinked), the DAC Schema Browser will open. Scroll down to Outgoing References until you see INSite in the Parent DAC column. To the left and right you will see the key fields for joining the two tables.

If you want SiteID of the detail line, you would join SOOrder to SOLine, then SOLine to INSite.

Hope this helps!

I think i understand but is there a reference i can read more on?

I can get the columns to show, but no data to pull. I’ve found countless forum postings and even looking into how the SQL is read; i’m still struggling to wrap my head around what to reference, and then how the parent children relationships work. every reiteration i try breaks what i have successfully pulled.

If its nesting, then once i get deep in the nest i’m lost.
