Add a searchable field in "Customer" search in Sales Order Screen

When creating a sales order, if I click the magnifying glass next to the customer search box, is there a way to add a searchable field in that pop up window? We would like to be able to search by Primary Contact Name in that pop-up box.

​@SBaldwin In order to do anything differently to the Customer selector you would need to customize it. What you’re looking for is totally doable I’m certain, but it would just need to be tweaked since there’s no out of the box way to make either add a field in that window that doesn’t already show or make one of the fields subject to the quick search that isn’t already being read by it.

    Hi ​@SBaldwin,

    To achieve this,

    1) You need to override the customer selector to add the primary contact name.

    2) Add this contact name to fastfilterfields section in customization editor.
