We are in the middle of Acumatica Implementation for a Canadian Heavy Civil Construction Company. We have been using ADP for our payroll system but constantly running into issues with them. It has made our payroll person very frustrated (I am aware of ongoing issues personally too).
That being said, we have been looking into alternative payroll systems from two broad angles.
1) capability of managing payroll as if was a standalone software and
2) integration with Acumatica.
We have reviewed pretty much in depth a few payroll systems including Dayforce(Ceridian), Acumatica Built-in, Lumber and Avanti. We have come to conclusion that
- With Ceridian possibly we will experience the same issues of ADP as they are very close in nature, functionality and corporate structure
- Acumatica Built-in and Lumber are very unmature and they possibly will work for smaller companies with very basic needs and no complexity.
- Avanti has the most robust payroll engine with maximum control over payroll settings and pay codes formulation tailored to Canadian businesses. this is the link to their website https://www.avanti.ca/
We have been trying to get some reference or see what integration exists between Avanti and Acumatica but haven’t had any luck. We are looking for master records, timesheet, Payroll GL Posting and Job Costing integration. I am reaching out here to see if someone has any experience with this integration so can share.
