Hi everyone,

I'm looking for advice on correcting an overstated purchase receipt in MYOB Acumatica.

Purchase receipt PR-025718 has been released, and the related AP bills are completed/closed.

The original receipt cost was $10,640.32, but the correct cost should be $8,280.80.

The excess $2,359.52 needs to be reversed since it’s sitting on the unbilled quantities.

No further supplier invoice will be allocated against the remaining balance.

However, the Correct Receipt action is blocked because AP bills have already been created against the receipt.

Has anyone encountered this scenario? What is the recommended supported method to reverse the excess cost and clear the residual unbilled balance without affecting the completed AP bills or physical quantities?

Hi @janinakeith

I think you performed Purchase Receipt (Return) to cancel the original Purchase Receipts entered incorrectly ($10,640.32). Then re-enter the correct Purchase Receipt ($8,280.80)

Best Regards,

NNT

Hi @nhatnghetinh thank you so much for your insights. Is it okay to do that even if the original receipt is already released, and the related AP bills are completed or closed?

Hi @janinakeith

Yes, you can absolutely process a Purchase Receipt (Return), even if the original bill which was generated from the Purchase Receipt has already been paid to the vendor.

Best Regards,
