Does anyone use or know if you can have multiple revisions for a stock item that you can make active or inactive, etc just like the Bill of Material module allows you to do?

Acumatica currently does not track inventory at the revision level.  Is that what you are asking?

If a stock item is revised it is considered a different physical item, so you would need to create a new stock item.  As you mentioned you can track revisions on BOMs for manufacturing or on Kit Specifications for distribution.

@andy99 i am not seeing anything on the item profile that would indicate revisions to the stock item.  i believe you would need to create a new item and mark the old one as inactive.  The only place I've seen anything related to revisions in the inventory module is under kit specifications:

could you help us understand what the use case is?

Thanks,

Iqra

You could look at using matrix items - otherwise, you would need to create a new part #.
