Has anyone had any luck with scanning on an ipad in the browser? I have created a new screen, where our shop floor can just scan in the “Request CD” from a QR code and it will find all information about it. I have the “Tab” turned off on all the fields excep the first one. This allows you to “Rapid Fire” scanning and just scan everything you need to without any additional clicking. We were looking at using a browser on an ipad, but you have to click in the field in order to fill it out. it will still go to the next line like it should, but you have to click it before you can enter information. It doesnt do that on a regular computer or a surface. Is there a way to do this or will i have to add it to the acumatica app for it to work?

I think creating a new screen in the mobile application which corresponds to this screen will be the easiest way.

I am guessing the material requester does not need to see all the detail which is in the screen, so the mobile version can be dimmed down a fair bit, even just the first 5 fields.

Have you tried setting DefaultControlID?  I’m not positive what control focus will do on a compound control like the grid, but it might do what you want if the portion of the control you want to receive input was in the leftmost column.

You can try to inject client-side JS and dispatch a fake mouse click with the MouseEvent constructor.  The approach works, but it does require that you know the coordinates of the field.  Not a problem if it doesn’t change, but would require writing row count out to a hidden page tag (or something), if you need the row count for calculating the y position.

@aiwan I am currently looking into the mobile application for it. So far, it looks like I will need to change the screen for it to work like we are wanting.

If you are planning on implementing the barcode driven engine then yes, you will need to rewrite it.
