We’re trying to use planning BOMs, but don’t understand how Acumatica intends for us to handle them. Does anyone know of a good resource that explains the intended functionality?
What we are envisioning is:
- Engineering creates a BOM that is somehow designated as “Planning”
- This BOM would not be able to be used to create a production order
- This BOM would work for MRP planning
- At some point, engineering converts the planning BOM to a “real” BOM
- Then manufacturing can create a production order and proceed as normal.
Is the above at all similar to the process Acumatica designed?
