Hi Acumatica Community,

Is there a way to restrict the release of a Move transaction if there is no related Material Transaction?

The requirement is to ensure that, upon releasing the Move transaction, the system recognizes the materials used in the production.

We would like to prevent the Move transaction from being released if no Material Transaction has been created or released for the production.

We would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations on how to achieve this requirement in Acumatica.

Thank you!

@Fie  There are no settings related to ensuring whether the material transaction is created or not, but there are couple settings “ Under Issue Material” and “ Under Issue Bakcflush Material” that you can set to not allow reporting quantity unless materials are issued to the operation on the Production Order types (AM201100) form.

Hi,

Currently, there have product idea related to the current concern is in the Gathering Feedback stage.

Product Idea: https://community.acumatica.com/ideas/enhance-production-orders-to-only-apply-allow-warn-prevent-data-entry-settings-at-the-control-point-operations-22768

Please vote for this idea, and the more votes it receives, the more likely it will be added to the product.

Further as mentioned above, can enable the setting in the Production Order Type that does not allow “Under Issue Material” and “Under Issue Bakcflush Material” to prevent the situation.
