Mass Edit Error - GI Screen

Hi ​@JReppard,

I believe the Complete Order and Cancel Order actions include a popup confirmation dialog that appears before the process is initialized.

From a Generic Inquiry (GI), you are able to process multiple records at once, but these actions are designed to be executed individually, not in bulk.

So when you run the Complete or Cancel action from the GI processing screen, the popup that normally requires user confirmation is ignored. Because that confirmation step does not complete, Acumatica returns the error: “The previous operation has not been completed yet.”

​@DipakNilkanth -Thanks I do get the confirmation (below) - Click Yes- but then get the error screen after.

It will note the operation is complete, but the status is the same. I tried this with selecting 1 or many records and yield the same results

I was able to accomplish this using business event as a mass action for that same GI instead, the BE runs an import subscriber which can get passed the “Yes” action.

The import is quite simple and uses only the basics taught in the i100 training.
I recommend reviewing this webinar below, as well as the i100 training for the future when you get a chance, as imports are very useful for automating and streamlining processes in Acumatica.

​@MissyMain41 - I understand most of what you did here, but when setting up your provider, what are you using? Isn't the provider the file with the data you are looking to import based on key identifiers, such as the production order?

I guess the confusion is where you show that you can change the record status by checking with POs you want to change then selecting the cancel action, but wouldn't the import need to know which orders I want to cancel?

Sorry -little confused after I thought I had it.

​@MissyMain41 - I was able to get my action setup. It runs, but does not change the status as yours did. 

1. Does the provider file need to include any respective POs that need to be changed? Is there a specific setup of data it needs?
2. Do you use Results for the Provider Object?

1. no the business event and GI combo does that for you
2. yes it uses results as that is what is default when making an import subscriber on a business event

Mine also doesn’t show cancelled on the “operation completed” screen.

Refreshing the browser the GI is on shows it canceled.

​@MissyMain41 - Thank you for more information. Mine still wont work …..something so simple. Not sure where the miss is.

Also do note I was using an out of box version of “AM2015PL, if yours has been customized then perhaps that could play a part. But my best guess is how you have configured your import, so do send a screenshot.

Your configs honestly look perfect 😭 have you tried on a different version/build yet? It could be the site you’re testing on. I was using a fresh sales demo on 24.216, everything hand made. If testing on a different version/build with no customizations still doesn’t work then I recommend contacting ACU support, as I can confirm 100% it works for me with no issues on 24.216 without any customizations.
