Manufacturing New Release Process Glitches

We are on 25R2 modern UI and using the New Release Process for Manufacturing.  I have seen two glitches so far, and wondered if anyone else has seen these in their instance:

  • A Move that completes an operation no longer records Actual Start Date and Actual End Date in the AMProdOper (Production Details, routing section) table.  We have critical reports that rely on these dates, and they are broken right now due to this issue.
  • The final Move (production receipt) for a linked Production Order to SO Line no longer allocates the inventory to the SO Line.  You have to delete the SO Line and re-add it to invoice the sales order.  The issue this creates for us is that the production order loses the link to the Sales Order, also breaking critical reports that help us report on stock product versus build-to-order product.

I don’t see a way to undo the New Release Process, but I would like to.

I already logged both of these issues and yet another case today.

Case #484324
Case #484839
Case #485113

I escalated and requested a virtual meeting to determine whether we can (A) quickly resolve the issues with RnD or (B) revert back to the old release process.

@Debbie Baldwin is it possible to revert back to the old release process once you begin using the new release process? or is this something support can assist with?

Case #485141 submitted in addition to the aforementioned.

I believe all four of these cases are related to the New Release Process.

@schott61 - once you turn it on - you cannot turn it off.

The allocation issue is fixed in  Build 25.201.0213 but the Actual Start and End Dates are still null - which is a serious issue.

A fix is available as a customization in this article.

Is this functionality automatically turned on when Manufacturing is enabled for sites already on 25R2+? The reason I ask is because I just enabled Manufacturing on the Enable/Disable screen so that I could begin configuring Production for a tenant. I see that this setting is now on even though I do not remember toggling this option on.

Furthermore, it would be helpful for the irreversible disclaimer to be shown on the form reference. I do see that the disclaimer is in the release notes but not in the UI

For new installations, the check-box will default to selected.

For upgrading existing databases, the check-box should not be automatically selected.

Acumatica did add a warning message as part of a service pack to warn the setting is irreversible.

Got it. Thank you, @angierowley75 !
