Manufacturing estimating with volume breaks in 24 R2, does it take into account Vendor pricing and their volume price breaks ?

This new feature is a very useful one.  I assumed that it might take into account the corresponding vendor price breaks for different volumes but now I am not so sure.  The documentation does not mention this.

I suppose that it would mean that the estimate pricing process would need to do an MRP look up, but anything is possible.  Also vendor pricing of materials by volume is one of the key factors in unit cost changes by volume.

Does it ?

Thanks

James

@jmorgan - we wanted to get the functionality delivered and then continue to enhance. This did fall into our “future” bucket. Not sure if there is an idea out there - but would be good to add one to see the priority. One idea might be to add a side panel with Vendor pricing. It may help?

Did you want to add the idea? or do you want me to? Thanks!!!

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for the quick feedback.

As for the idea, I think it will have a greater profile if you add it, if you dont mind.

A side panel would not really provide much benefit.  I think that the background calculation is where the real value is found.

@jmorgan - ok I added if you would like to vote on it or even add more details.
